OUR NAME, OUR STORY
Albert and Arthur takes its name from two influential grandfathers of our founder and Creative Director, Abigail.
When the studio was first conceived in 2012, finding a name proved to be one of the hardest decisions. Albert and Arthur felt personal, familiar and rooted in family — and it stayed.
The photographs below are a glimpse into that history and some of the people who have helped shape Albert and Arthur along the way.
THE STUDIO
Albert and Arthur is a floral design studio based in the Sussex countryside, creating flowers and installations for brands, businesses, events, weddings and private clients across the country.
We work both directly with our clients and alongside leading event and creative agencies, approaching each project individually — from a single arrangement or intimate dinner to large-scale events and installations.
Our work is led by the seasons, with an emphasis on colour, texture and scent. Wherever possible, we source flowers and foliage from growers close to our studio, supplemented by carefully selected flowers from further afield when a project requires them.
HOW WE WORK
Creativity is underpinned by careful planning and attention to detail. Our experienced team manages each project from initial ideas and sourcing through to preparation, installation and, where required, removal.
We also consider the environmental impact of the way we work. Floral foam is avoided wherever possible, containers are reused and hired, green waste is composted and materials recycled. We continually look for practical and imaginative ways to create beautiful work with less waste.
Above all, we want the process of working with Albert and Arthur to feel as considered as the flowers themselves.
